Teatro a Mil 2024: Schedule of Free Shows and Performances

This Wednesday, the 3rd, a new edition of Teatro a Mil 2024 began, which will take place until Sunday, February 4. During this year, the international festival will reach 42 communities in the country, which will have more than 100 shows in the more than 25 days that the event lasts, in which there will be free shows.

Teatro a Mil will feature interactive shows with the public, parades, plays in theaters and an audio tour, among many others. The festival will be in 30 communities in the Metropolitan Region, which will have free shows for all attendees.

In addition, you will visit the cities of Antofagasta, Mejillones, San Pedro de Atacama (town of Peine), Coquimbo, Casablanca, San Felipe, Valparaíso, Machalí, Chillán, Concepción, Los Ángeles and Temuco.

La Patogallina, one of the most important street theater companies in the country, prepares this parade with sculptures of three Andean animals (a condor, a puma and a snake) that call to reconnect with nature and history, in which dances and music will be the protagonists.

It begins this Wednesday, January 3, at 8:00 p.m., in the commune of Renca, on Avenida Condell with Ofelia Moreno and lasts one hour. It is recommended to arrive 30 minutes in advance to the place. Its last performance will be on Sunday, February 4 in Coquimbo.

From Spain, the award-winning flamenco duo, made up of Marco Vargas & Chloé Brûlé, will debut in our country presenting a double program composed of Las 24, a work that talks “about what happens when it happens and what happens when it does not happen.” , and Universal Shipwreck, which seeks to reveal the epic human spirit through its fragility and survival instinct.

The show begins this Thursday the 4th and will have six performances, the last being on Sunday, January 14. Their first show will take place at the Espacio Matta Cultural Center, in La Granja. The time of the double program is from 7:30 p.m.

A show without words, but with 100 water bombs and a great sense of humor, the company Acrobuffos comes to Chile to bring joy to families. The Spanish company D’es Tro will debut in Latin America with its award-winning production, which will transport the public to a forgotten rural world through a poetic game with spinning tops. The show begins this Friday the 5th at the Plaza de la Cultura in Mejillones, at 8:30 p.m., and in the capital it will arrive on Thursday, January 11, at the La Hondonada Park in Cerro Navia.
