EA Sports has announced the ratings of the TOTY midfielders, available now in packs, replacing the attackers. Kevin de Bruyne and Joshua Kimmich receive strong 96 cards, which, however, are still surpassed by Bruno Fernandes in the overall rating. The Manchester United midfielder comes on a 97.

This is how the TOTY start went
On Friday, January 22nd at 6 p.m. EA Sports via Twitter already announced which eleven players are in the Team of the Year.
One hour later – at the classic event opening time at FUT at 7 p.m. – EA announced the first ratings. It started with the strikers: Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski received a blatant 98 card. Kylian Mbappé has an overall rating of 97, but his card is in no way inferior to the two storm partners. On the contrary: We expect the Mbappé TOTY card to be one of the most popular and expensive FUT cards up to the Team of the Season event, as in previous years.
Lionel Messi, on the other hand, is looking into the tube this year and has not found a place in the Team of the Year.

The striker cards are now available in packs. How long this will be the case and when the ratings of other players will be published is currently not known.
Meanwhile, the midfield consists of two players who lace up their football boots in Manchester and Joshua Kimmich. FC Bayern’s midfield driver forms a midfield of three with Bruno Fernandes and Kevin de Bruyne.
As a left defender, Alphonso Davies won the election. His well-known defense colleagues are Sergio Ramos, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Bayern trio is completed by Manuel Neuer, who, unsurprisingly, guards the goal. With three players, last season’s triple winner has the most players in the FIFA 21 Ultimate Team of the Year.

What about tasks and SBCs at the TOTY event?
The first task appeared on Friday, January 22nd at the start of the event. Luis Suarez receives a TOTY Moments card, but with a 91 rating it is nowhere near the other TOTY cards. You have to complete five sub-tasks in order to call the Atletico Madrid attacker your own.

This is what you can expect at the TOTY event on FIFA 21 Ultimate Team
EA Sports announced in advance: “The final Team of the Year will be announced on January 22nd. Then special TOTY player items with some of the highest values of the season in FUT 21 will also be published, with which we celebrate the sensational achievements of the individual players in this unique year. “
In previous years, EA Sports first announced all the players who were in the TOTY, and then gradually published the exact ratings. It is now clear that this will also be the case this year. After all player cards have been released, all TOTY players could then once again come together in the packs, as in the past.

Who can vote for the Team of the Year?
At FIFA 20, for the first time, everyone was allowed to vote for the Team of the Year on a website that was newly set up for the event. In previous years, this was reserved for athletes, media representatives and selected members of the FIFA community. This year the fans can vote again.
In which formation will the Team of the Year play?
As in previous years, the Team of the Year appears again in a 4-3-3 formation. So four defenders are wanted in front of the goalkeeper. The top team is completed by three midfielders and three strikers.
How does the TOTY event affect the transfer market?
It is quite possible that you can get a bargain or two during the TOTY week. Because the Team of the Year cards are extremely popular, many packs are opened. This inundates the transfer market with cards, which in turn causes the prices of many cards to fall. As always, however, it is not possible to make a precise forecast of the behavior of the market.
This is what the Team of the Year looked like last year
There was a minor surprise last year because Cristiano Ronaldo did not make it into the TOTY-Eleven. On the offensive there was no place for the Portuguese in the trio consisting of Lionel Messi (99), Kylian Mbappe (98) and Sadio Mané (97). Then EA voted again for the “twelfth Team-of-the-Year card”, so CR7 made it after all.

Kevin de Bruyne (98), N’Golo Kante (97) and Frenkie de Jong (94) made it in midfield. The defensive was formed by goalkeeper Alisson Becker (97) and the back four Andrew Robertson (94), Mathijs de Ligt (96), Virgil van Dijk (99) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (95).
