Greysia/Apriyani Best Doubles BWF 2020/2021

Indonesian women’s doubles Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu crowned as the best doubles BWF year 2020/2021. Success in 2020/2021 brought them to that title.

Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu became the guardians of Indonesia’s gold tradition after winning the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. They previously won the Indonesia Masters and Spain Masters 2020, then the Yonex Thailand Open 2020 earlier this year.

For their achievements, BWF awarded them the title of best couple of the year.

“Thank you BWF for this award. We hope to continue to perform well and be the best. We hope to do many positive things for the Indonesian people and all who love badminton,” said Greysia Polii on the BWF official website.

Besides Greysia/Apriyani, BWF also gave awards to a number of other players. Viktor Axelsen (Denmark) and Tai Tzu Ying (Taipei) became the best men’s singles players.

Meanwhile, Kunlavut Vitidsarn (Thailand) won the title of Most Promising Player and Wang Chi-lin/Lee Yang (Taipei) men’s doubles became the Most Developed Player 2020/2021.

In the Para category, Qu Zimo (China) and Leani Ratri Oktila (Indonesia) became the Best Para Players 2020/2021 for men and women. For doubles, the pair Lucas Mazur/Faustine Noel (France) won the Doubles of the Best.
