The Tau-Herculid meteor shower graced Earth’s sky on Tuesday (31/5) early morning.

Experts estimate there are at least 100 thousand meteors that pass at a speed of 16 km per hour.

The meteor shower is clearly visible in the Northern Hemisphere, and less clearly in the Southern Hemisphere.

Researchers from the Heller & Jung Space Observatory noted that the meteor shower lasted 9.9 seconds and would be the longest in 2022.

The meteors entered Earth’s atmosphere at an altitude of 88.3 km and disappeared over the ocean.
