Tangkas Motor Electric is preparing a new factory in Ungaran, Semarang Regency, Central Java. It is planned that the inauguration of the factory will be attended by the Governor of Central Java (Central Java), Ganjar Pranowo.
The CEO and Founder of PT Tangkas, Agung Pamungkas, or usually called Don Papank, said the inauguration of the factory would be carried out in August or early September this year. He added that the opening of the factory for electric motorbikes, the majority of which are sold for under Rp. 20 million, will be attended by Ganjar Pranowo.
“The Governor of Central Java will be present at the inauguration of the new Tangkas Electric Motors factory. This is very good support for creating an environmentally friendly vehicle climate,” said Don Papank in his statement quoted on Sunday (9/7/2023).
Tangkas is optimistic that the sales trend of electric motorbikes in Indonesia is increasing and they are slowly being eyed to become the main vehicle. When that happened, Don Papank, said the production capacity of Tangkas Electric Motorbikes had been prepared following the enthusiasm of the community.
“We are ready to increase production capacity when the demand for electric motorbikes increases, especially when the incentives to buy electric vehicles are running,” he explained.
He continued, the inauguration of the new factory will feature all types of Tangkas Electric Motorbikes, for example Tangkas Electric Motorbike E6, equipped with a 72 Volt / 20 AH battery with compact dimensions, 170 cm long, 75 cm wide and 105 cm high. The motorbike, which is claimed to be able to cover a distance of 60 kilometers, is sold for IDR 10.2 million.
Next is an electric scooter in the style of a classic European motorcycle look, the Tangkas Motor Electric V8. The motorbike is equipped with a 60 Volt/20 Ah battery that can travel 50-60 kilometers. About the price, the motorbike was sold for IDR 11.7 million.

Another model that has been sold is the X7 Tangkas Electric Motor. This motorbike has a large scooter style with a gambot body and legs. X7 is equipped with a 72 V / 32 AH battery that can cover a distance of 80 kilometers. This electric motorbike is sold for IDR 19.8 million.
