Soap sweetheart Tamzin Outhwaite made waves in a recent interview when she revealed she was selling clothes to pay off the mortgage.
The 50-year-old actress, best known for her stint in the EastEnders in the late ’90s and early’ 90s, said she was whipping up old goods to continue payments as Covid ravages the entertainment industry .
“I just think that’s probably going to be how I’m going to pay my mortgage and exist for a while, until our industry comes back,” Tamzin said with the Irregular B ****** podcast.
Thrifty Tamzin thought about other ways to help pay the bills, adding, “I’m not a snob or proud of what I do. I love a car startup sale, but it’s all online. I’m thinking, “How do I do this now?

“I am not proud. ‘Oh my god influencers make money, how do you do that?
And the Mel Owen star has been through a lot since her days at Walford, which she left behind in 2002.
First appearing in the square in 1998, Tamzin has carved out a big following during her short four-year stint – being named the sexiest woman of two-year-old soaps at the trot.

But it didn’t last and she left EastEnders to seize new acting opportunities.
She went on to star on shows like New Tricks and Hotel Babylon, and made a lauded return to EastEnders in 2017.
Now 50, Tamzin’s personal life sees her happy with her boyfriend Tom Childs, 29, who quickly became more than just an “adventure”.

They first met in a yoga studio three years ago and have grown stronger ever since.
She told the Mirror: “It was supposed to be just an affair.
“Then he went from an adventure to, ‘I don’t want to be far from you.’

“For one of the first times in my life I’m living in the moment and I don’t care what’s going to happen, which is lovely. “
Tom recently bonded with Tamzin and his two daughters Marnie, 18, and Flo, 12.
It seems, however, that marriage is irrelevant as Tamzin has revealed that his daughters would hate if they marry.

She told The Sun, “My daughters were excited about her move in, but they wouldn’t like us to get married – they would hate it. ”
But Tamzin hasn’t always been so lucky in love – her marriage to Lucifer and Miranda actor Tom Ellis has ended, citing adultery.
They tied the knot in 2012, after being introduced by mutual boyfriend James McAvoy.

And although she never directly addressed the cause of their breakup, she shared that it was more serious than a “one-night stand.”
Tom has since admitted to cheating.
And he married Meaghan Oppenheimer in 2019.
