Tahiti Nui Travel, authorization to survive

Tahiti Nui Travel is no longer in receivership. The company’s lawyer succeeded in convincing the commercial court that the company could continue its activity. A relief for the 150 employees of the group.

Respite for Tahiti Nui Travel

The holding company that owns Tahiti nui Travel is no longer in receivership. His lawyer Vincent Dubois brought sufficient elements before the commercial court to convince the magistrates of the possibility for TNT to continue his activity. The company was in default of payment since May 11, but also the other companies of the Tekura Travel group, Tahiti Tour and South Pacific.

We have provided sufficient guarantees to show that Tahiti Nui Travel has regained financial health, obviously not perfect, but good enough to return to normal operation.

Resumption of reservations

The health situation in French Polynesia weighed in the balance. Since the announcement of the border reopening from July, tourist bookings have resumed. Good news for TNT as for other travel agencies in the country. This has brought some fresh air and visibility to the area.

No employee was dismissed. Almost 150 jobs are potentially saved.
The work is not finished so far the company still has claims to settle but in the normal course of business.
