‘Taghi group had corrupt contact with the military police’

The criminal organization of Ridouan Taghi had at least one corrupt contact with the military police at Schiphol. In 2015, the person requested information 123 times from police computer systems, NRC reports. Among the names requested, there would also have been a false identity that Taghi used.

According to NRC, this is stated in an official report from a national criminal investigation with the name ‘Zegekruid’. The marechaussee concerned has been sentenced to six months in prison this year for violating official secrecy.

This week it came to the lawsuit against Taghi’s group a collision between the Public Prosecution Service and a number of lawyers. The Public Prosecution Service had added an official report to the file accusing lawyers of leaking secret information to Taghi’s group. Nothing was said about the leakage of information by a corrupt military police.
