Experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the United States have named five symptoms that probably indicate infection with the coronavirus COVID-19, in the case of which a person should immediately see a doctor. Specialists of the CDC recommend urgently seeking medical help if the following symptoms appear:

  • labored breathing,
  • feeling of pain and tightness in the chest,
  • confusion of consciousness
  • inability to wake up
  • blue lips and face.

The combination of these signs may indicate not only that a person is a carrier of the COVID-19 virus, but also that he needs medical attention.

As of December 28, the number of people infected with coronavirus in the world, according to Johns Hopkins University, exceeded 80.8 million people. More than 1.76 million people became victims of the pandemic, over 45.7 million people recovered. The United States remains the leader in the number of infected people (19.1 million). India (10.2 million), Brazil (7.4 million), Russia (3.04 million) and France (2.6 million) are also in the top five in terms of the number of cases.
