Symphonic Metal Night in Riga: Headlined by Norwegian Group Sirenia and Featuring Rexoria, Dark Sarah, and Amberian Dawn

Already next Saturday, September 23, an ambitious symphonic metal event or “Symphonic Metal Night” will take place in Riga club “Melnā Piektdiena”, which will be headlined by the well-known Norwegian group “Sirenia”.

Swedish power metallers “Rexoria” with the colorful Frida Olin at the microphone and Finnish symphonic metal band “Dark Sarah”, whose main driving force is the founder and vocalist of this association Heidī Parviainena – the only member who has been in the group since the very beginning, have been announced as warm-up acts for the Riga concert. Other Finns – “Amberian Dawn”, who will also perform on “Black Friday” – are quoted higher. This Finnish symphonic “power metal” quintet also has a woman singing – by the looks of it, the calm but vocally effective Peivi Virkunen. This group already has nine studio albums.

However, the “nail” of the event will, of course, be the Norwegian gothic and symphonic metal band “Sirenia”. This team was formed in 2001 in Stavanger, released 11 studio albums, the last one under the name “1977” was released at the end of May this year. Albums released in the last decade also topped the rock album charts in America and the UK, but Sirenia hasn’t fared so well in recent years. As you can easily understand, the Norwegian group also has a lady at the microphone, only for them the representatives of the fair sex who perform this role have often changed – since 2016, the vocalist of “Sirenia” is the likeable Frenchwoman Emanuella Zoldāna, who is already the fourth in the ranks of this group. It sounds and looks impressive as well, as the home-grown palelins will have something to feast their eyes and ears on!
