High treespresenter Jeroen van der Boom tells Private TV that he calls all guests during the commercials to check the reactions. “I knew in advance that Sylvie was a name that many people respond to,” he responds. “I thought she showed herself well. I have had Sylvie on the phone and she is sad that VI is pulling the program completely out of context.”
Well-meant
He also clarifies a few things. The broadcast showed that Sylvie hugged her brother and then made a comment. What she said exactly remained a mystery to this day, but according to the presenter it must have been well meant. “Her brother never wants to be in the picture, so I sincerely think, ‘You never do this’. Of course there is a lot of speculation about it, but I know her and always take it up a bit. She undoubtedly says something good to her brother.” Listen to the whole thing here interview with Jeroen.
Defense
By the way, Jeroen is not alone in taking up Sylvie. Leco shot – right after the TV performance some mixed reactions – defended her, too. “Somehow Sylvie can hardly do anything good in the Netherlands. I see her a lot in Germany and when she is in the Netherlands I also regularly work with her here and she is an incredibly fantastic, fun and professional person”, he added earlier this week Boulevard.
