The US actor Sylvester Stallone has set himself cinematic monuments through roles such as Rocky Balboa and John Rambo. Now it is said that the actor in the series “Kansas City” will take on the lead role for Paramount +. It’s supposed to be a drama series with Terence Winter (“The Sopranos”) and Taylor Sheridan (“Those Who Wish Me Dead”) pulling the strings in the background.
Stallone will then probably also be one of the executing producers, should the negotiations not break unexpectedly. However, official voices have already commented on the talks, so it is probably only a matter of formalities. For Stallone it would be the first leading role on television. So far you have seen the former (?) Action hero mainly in the cinema. In TV formats, he only appeared as a guest star at irregular intervals. The plot of “Kansas City” is said to revolve around an Italian mafioso from New York City who is involuntarily “transferred” to Kansas City. There he is now trying to firmly establish organized crime for the mafia and to expand his power.
But it will not be a historical series, rather “Kansas City” should play in the present. Stallone is very busy because in 2022 he will also be featured in “The Expendables 4”. He is also involved in “Guardians of the Galaxy 3”, which will be released in 2023. We will also see Stallone in 2022 in the superhero film “Samaritan”.
