Russian heavyweight Murat Gassiev lost a split decision to Swedish boxer Otto Wallin in a qualifying bout for second place in the IBF heavyweight rankings.
Former world cruiserweight champion Gassiev moved forward more and threw more focused punches, while Wallin threw more punches and moved well, not allowing Gassiev to develop attacks. And perhaps the most dangerous episode of the fight occurred in the sixth round, when Wallin managed to shake Gassiev with a counter blow.
As a result, two judges gave the victory to Wallin with the same score of 115-113, and the third gave the score 117-111 in favor of Gassiev.
