The 24-year-old midfielder comes from the youth of Volendam and has been an important player in the team of trainer Wim Jonk for the last two years. In total, Plat played 108 official matches for the Volendam team.
Plat himself is happy with his move to Breda. “Almost thirteen thousand season tickets have already been sold, of course you don’t see that anywhere in the Kitchen Champion Division,” says Plat. “I am therefore very much looking forward to playing in the yellow-black in the Rat Verlegh Stadium and taking the left kick.”
Eric Hellemons says that NAC has captured a relatively young, but experienced midfielder with Plat. “With Alex, we attract a midfielder who wants to play football forward and who is a connector in the build-up phase. In addition, Alex is technically and tactically skilled, with which he can be important for the team.”
