Sweden’s entry into NATO – Turkey received a response from the country

Sweden has sent a NATO membership document to Turkey. Ankara believes that the Scandinavian country is far from the subject of negotiations.

It is noted that today the Turkish Foreign Minister held a joint meeting with the foreign ministers of Norway and Ireland. He spoke sharply about the membership of Finland and Sweden in NATO.

Cavusoglu said that Sweden sent a letter to Turkey, but the document is far from Ankara’s expectations, which requires clear promises.

“We conveyed our concerns to NATO and the two countries. How will these two countries meet our expectations? We need to agree on this. NATO is also actively cooperating. We constantly communicate with them. The memorandum of understanding came from NATO. Also, the document came from the chief adviser of Sweden We reported that these documents are far from our expectations,” the minister said.
