However, last week, photos of an unusual alteration appeared on the Web. Thus, the Italian company Z.Mode transformed the Jimny into a pickup with a supercharged engine.

Photos of the Suzuki Jimny 2023 pickup were published on one of the Italian company’s social networks. The model was called the “golden queen”. Worldwide, the SUV is currently offered in a two-door body. The company’s specialists removed the roofline above the B-pillar and installed a compact cargo platform aft. An internal structural roll bar was placed behind the front seats. It is connected to the rear bulkhead, floor and landing gear with a ladder frame. For the production of a new design, the company’s engineers used impact-resistant and UV-resistant ABS / ASA plastic. Thanks to this, the weight of the car has not changed much. Yes, the cargo bed on the new pickup truck feels a little cramped. The approach, turn and exit angles of the pickup have been improved. They are now 51, 38 and 60 degrees respectively. For a standard SUV, these figures are 37, 28 and 49 degrees. Also, the car is equipped with differential protection and reinforced shafts. And the detachable anti-roll bar can be equipped for climbing. With the addition of a turbo kit consisting of a Garrett T25 turbo, manifolds, injectors and intercooler pickups Suzuki Jimny 2023 is now capable of developing 170 horsepower at 270 Nm of maximum torque. In a standard SUV, the engine delivers 102 hp. and 130 N*m of thrust. As a transmission, the car is equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Naturally, it sends power to all four wheels. The appearance of the novelty is distinguished by decorative elements of gold color, thanks to which the model was called the “golden queen”. In particular, the pickup received a scratch-resistant black-gold foil and gold alloy wheels. The interior of the car is upholstered in dark leather and Alcantara. It is sewn with gold stitching, and the model name logo is embroidered on the headrests. According to Z.Mode’s social media page, the new Jimny is built in honor of the memory of its founder, Giuseppe Quintavalli, who recently passed away at the age of 75.
As for the SUV itself, the Japanese brand is now preparing to debut a 5-door version of the 2023 Suzuki Jimny. The car has already hit the lenses of spy photographers several times during testing. However, details about its powertrain and off-road equipment have recently emerged. The model will reportedly continue to use the same 102-horsepower engine, but will be supplemented with mild hybrid technology. At the same time, the introduction of a hybrid will improve the fuel efficiency of the engine and reduce emissions into the atmosphere. The decision to keep this unit in the 5-door version of the model is probably linked to the development costs of the car. It will be combined with the previous manual gearbox, but the 4-speed automatic gearbox will become 6-speed. The Suzuki All Grip Pro all-wheel drive technology will remain. It is characterized by the presence of a reduction gear, which increases the torque and at the same time limits the speed.
