The micromobilità is becoming increasingly important in Italy as a solution for make travel easier within chaotic urban centers. Enel X wants to encourage the spread of these means of transport. For this, he has consolidated its collaboration agreement with Bird, to offer customers the opportunity to have a fully integrated mobility experience.
Now, attraverso l’app JuicePass which allows people to manage the charging of their electric car in Italy and Europe, it will also be possible to identify the over 5,000 Bird electric scooters in various Italian cities: Turin, Rome, Milan, Verona, Rimini and Pesaro. The new app function is used in a very simple way. Once the closest scooter has been identified on the map, people will be redirected directly to the Bird app to book and use the vehicles.
The solution designed by Enel X and Bird represents a new element of the collaboration between the two companies announced last year on the occasion of the Formula E E-Prix in Rome. Alberto Piglia, Enel X e-Mobility manager, commented on this news:
The partnership with Bird allows us to offer JuicePass users a unique urban travel experience and a valid alternative to traditional means of transport thanks to which it is also possible to lighten the traffic flows of our cities. By contributing to the spread of micro mobility we add a further element to Enel X’s strategy which aims at the continuous spread of sustainable mobility on a global level.
