Suzuki Burgman 125 Sets High Sales Target for 2024 in Indonesia

Jakarta

Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) is optimistic about facing the motorbike sales scene in 2024. Without hesitation, they have set a high sales target for their newest automatic, the Burgman 125.

Not without reason, Suzuki sees public interest in their newest automatic motorbike. This can be seen from the high number of orders when the Burgman 125 was launched.

“Before starting sales, we had already received more than a thousand indents,” said Shinozaki Yohei, Marketing Director, Division Head Sales and Marketing 2W PT SIS, to journalists at the Suzuki Burgman Street 125EX Test Ride event in Karawang, recently.

“If the goods are delivered, maybe we can increase sales again,” continued Shinozaki optimistically.

Seeing the high enthusiasm from the market, PT SIS has set a high target for the Suzuki Burgman 125. This automatic motorbike, which is still a CBU from India, is targeted to sell around 500-600 units per month.

“Initially, one year (the target) was 5,000-6,000. But now it’s more. For example, maybe 500-600 (units) could be (sold) a month,” said Shinozaki.

With that target, the Burgman 125 has practically become the backbone of Suzuki’s sales in Indonesia. Because, if you look at their sales data from last year, the Suzuki Nex II was the best-selling model with total sales of 5,508 units.

This Japanese manufacturer has indeed managed to record good sales figures throughout 2023. Suzuki was recorded as having succeeded in selling more than 12,500 units, 12,545 units to be precise.

Apart from the Nex II, the best-selling model on the Indonesian market is the Suzuki Satria F150 with total sales of 3,538 units. Then in third place is the Suzuki Address which sold 1,959 units.

“Because what percentage of the automatic market segment is there, more than 90 percent. If so, sales (could) be quite large,” said Shinozaki.
