The woman who is suspected of having pulled former minister Sander Dekker from his bicycle has been released for the time being. The Public Prosecution Service has decided that. The 42-year-old woman from Monster is still suspected of assault resulting in serious physical injury.
Dekker fell from his racing bike on Tuesday evening. An eyewitness told yesterday The Telegraph that a hiker had grabbed him by the arm, because he allegedly drove too fast.
Dekker broke his ribs, a collarbone and his pelvis in the fall. He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was arrested and taken to the police station.
