The police found no less than 16,000 euros in cash on Tuesday while searching a suspect. He would have been involved in a fight on the Oosterdokskade in the center.

After the report of the fight, officers found the man. He was searched because he possibly had a knife with him. Items that had ended up on the street during the fight were also searched.
In addition to the large amount of cash, the police also found a gold coin worth 1,500 euros. “Great catch!”, the police wrote on Instagram. “The man was unable to provide a conclusive explanation as to how he obtained this cash and was arrested for money laundering.”
The arrested man also had two dogs with him. They were taken away by the Animal Ambulance. After a night in jail, he was able to retrieve the two dogs.
