A car has crashed at high speed on the A58 during a chase by the police. Officers found a fake gun in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and taken to hospital with injuries.
Police received a report of a threat with a firearm. Around 7 p.m., officers saw the suspect driving on the highway from Tilburg in the direction of Eindhoven, a spokesman said. The pursuit was then started.
The car came to a stop near the gas station at Moergestel. The highway has been closed for some time for investigation. The road is now clear again.
