Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia– The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has just conducted a major evaluation of the main local capital market reference indices, namely LQ45, IDX30, and IDX80. The results of this evaluation are valid from August 2021 to January 2022.

The major evaluation aims to re-randomize the stock index constituents for the next period accompanied by adjustments to the weights of each constituent.

From the LQ45 reference index, which is an index with stocks with liquid trading and bright growth prospects, 2 new issuers have entered so that 2 issuers have been forced to leave.

The new name that emerged was quite surprising for market participants, after previously many analysts and rumors predicted that PT Bank Jago Tbk (ARTO) and PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) would enter the LQ45 index, but both failed to be elected.

It was PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) and PT Timah Tbk (TINS) who managed to become new members of the LQ45 index. These two issuers replace PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk (BTPS) and PT Ciputra Development Tbk (CTRA), which were previously rumored to be kicked out of this index.

Furthermore, the regulator also reshuffled the IDX30 index where BRPT, PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO), PT Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk (MIKA), and TINS ​​will enter to replace BTPS, PT Indocement Tunggal Prakasa Tbk (INTP), PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN), PT Pakuwon Jati Tbk (PWON).

Finally, IDX 80 was also reorganized by the regulator where there were 8 newcomers and 8 kicked out. The newcomers are PT Adhi Karya Tbk (ADHI), PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT), PT Alam Sutera Realty Tbk (ASRI), PT Adi Sarana Armada Tbk (ASSA), PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk (BFIN), BRPT , PT Harun Energy Tbk (HRUM), and PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT).
