Surface Go 2 should get thinner edges and thus more display

Speculations The technical equipment of the Surface Go 2 already existed in February and the device has also been used by the FCC sighted. Now was claims: The display of the Surface Go 2 should grow to 10.5 inches (approx. 27 cm) compared to its predecessor thanks to the thinner display edges.

The Surface Go is Microsoft’s smallest Surface device, which the Surface Go 2 is to inherit as a successor. The first assumptions that the display should grow have now been confirmed again from a new side, but instead of the previously assumed 11 inches, “only” 10.5 inches were forecast – the resolution – and thus the pixel density – should be something with 1920 x 1280 pixels turn out lush. However, the dimensions will probably remain the same – the larger display is made possible by smaller and smaller edges.

The price will probably start again at around 400 euros with the smallest equipment. This should be powered by an Intel Pentium GOLD 4425Y and have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB eMMC memory. Wi-Fi 6 is also said to be on board for the first time.

The better-equipped model with an Intel Core m3-8100Y is to be given 8 GB of working memory and the SSD storage is also twice as large with 128 GB. Optionally, this variant should also be available with an LTE modem. Both models are to be unlocked via face recognition.

As an accessory, there will certainly be Type Cover from Microsoft, as is usual for the Surface devices. The Surface Connect connection should also continue to exist, although you should also use USB-C and a headphone connection in the Surface Go 2. The microSD slot should also continue to be available.

The new Surface devices are due to be released this month, and we will certainly know the final facts next week at the latest.
