(sda) Cosby was sentenced in 2018 to a minimum of three and a maximum of ten years in prison for sexual assault. More than 60 women had accused the actor and comedian of various kinds of sexual assault. The entertainer had always rejected the allegations.
After Cosby had spent around three years in prison, the highest court in Pennsylvania surprisingly overturned his conviction in June – and the actor was released. Because of an agreement with a prosecutor previously involved in the case, Cosby should not have been charged in this matter, the court argued.
