I am still working on the translation of a heroic fantasy board game, more particularly on the descriptions of the different peoples, and I hold on to the following formula:
“East of the Superior Lands in the vastness of the XXX region, saw the people of Superman blood des (name of tribe). “
How to translate the people of Superman blood? The most common translation of Superman is Superman which is commonly used in Nietzsche’s translations, but I don’t like it at all because the DC Comics hero reference is too strong, especially for a Heroic Fantasy-focused population. I also found Uberman which is an anglicized version of German Übermensch, which I prefer.
Here is what I have so far:
“East of the Upper Lands, in the vast expanse of the XXX region, lives the Uberman blood people of the (name of tribe).”
or else
“East of the Upper Lands, in the vast expanse of the XXX region, lives the Uberman blooded people of the (name of tribe).”
