Two Super League teams’ stadiums have been entrusted by UEFA to host their top club competitions:
The UEFA Super Cup, which was held at the Stadium “G. Karaiskakis” of Olympiakos and the UEFA Europa Conference League Final, which will be held at OPAP ARENA of AEK.
The K19 of Olympiakos qualified for the semi-final of the UEFA Youth League and will participate in the Final 4 of the institution, in Nyon, Switzerland.
Two Super League teams, Olympiacos and PAOK, qualified for the “8” of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Greece is the only country, this season, which has two teams in the “8” phase of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Only ten countries are now represented in all UEFA interclub competitions and after the Top-5 European national championships (England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France) Greece participates with two teams. Portugal, Turkey, Czech Republic and Belgium are next with one team from each country.
Greece, 41st in last year’s UEFA ranking, is now in 11th place this year, in terms of collecting points in UEFA’s European club competitions.
