Summary from Capcom Spotlight 2023 » Vortex

Presentations by Paradox and Nacon are over, as well as the announcement of a new release date for Starfield. So it was time for Capcom’s Capcom Spotlight broadcast, which, while not of any dizzying length, certainly didn’t come with interesting announcements, even if they weren’t unexpected surprises. Above all, the speculated release of Exoprimal was confirmed, as was the demo version of the Resident Evil 4 remake. Anyway, that wasn’t all… So what was next?

Resident Evil 4 & Resident Evil: Death Island

Although the Resident Evil series was the highlight of the evening, it certainly deserves the top spot here. First, a new animated film with the subtitle Death Island was mentioned, which was presented in the mentioned trailer already in February. Beyond that, however, we’ve been treated to two new images featuring Jill and Leon together. The film should be released during the summer. But let’s move now to the inexorably approaching remake. It happened exactly as predicted and the Resident Evil 4 remake demo is actually available. On all platforms, i.e. PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The playable demo is called “Chainsaw Demo” and will introduce the very beginning of the game, without any time limit. Even the game itself is, however, out the door, as it will be released on the mentioned platforms already on March 24, 2023.

Exoprimal

The leaks weren’t wrong in the case of the dinosaur shooter Exoprimal either. She flashed a new trailer, which also served to announce the release date, which actually sounds like July 14, 2023, as reported by Tom Henderson. It is also true that the game will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and will be available from day one as part of a Game Pass subscription. Those interested who would like to start fighting with dinosaurs even earlier can enjoy the planned beta test, which will take place from March 17 to 20 across all platforms and with available cross-platform matchmaking. It is possible to log in on the official website.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

Monster Hunter Rise keeps getting stronger, and that goes for the Sunbreak expansion as well. It is with him that we now learn the exact date when he will visit other platforms, more precisely on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, as earlier information announced. This will happen on April 28, at the moment the expansion is only available on Nintendo Switch and PC. Sunbreak is adding new locations and of course monsters, but it doesn’t stop there at the moment. Capcom has announced the Sunbreak Digital Event for April, where more news will be presented for all players across platforms.

Street Fighter 6

This time in Street Fighter 6, we didn’t see the introduction of new fighters, but a new announcer. More precisely, announcers. One of the optional commentaries will be provided by Japanese actress and model Hikaru Takahashi, who will speak exclusively in her native Japanese, bringing the total number of announcers to eight. After all, you can see her passion for the cause in the new trailer dedicated to her.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective

The detective adventure Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective was originally released on the Nintendo DS in 2010 and 2011. However, this is not the first time we hear about its return and arrival on modern platforms, as it was introduced with the same trailer a month ago during the Nintendo Direct. This time, however, its author Šu Takumi, who is also behind the famous Ace Attorney series, took the floor. In addition to improved graphics, players can look forward to a reworked and modernized soundtrack, with pre-order owners receiving a few extra pieces of music as a bonus. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective in an enhanced version on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch on June 30.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection
