Indonesian badminton team waiting for the opponent in the quarterfinals Sudirman Cup 2021. Who will be the opponent of the Red-White team?

According to the schedule, the draw for the last eight will be held by BWF, Thursday (30/9) at 21.00 local time or Friday morning WIB. Apart from Indonesia, there are seven other teams that have also made sure to qualify.

Denmark, Japan, Malaysia, China, Thailand, Taiwan and South Korea have already confirmed their places in the knockout stages. While the series of matches will take place on Friday (1/10).

Indonesia has the opportunity to meet Thailand (Group A runner-up), Taiwan (Group B runner-up), or Group D runner-up between Japan or Malaysia.

The Indonesian team manager, Eddy Prayitno, said the Red-White squad was in good condition and ready to fight. Only to determine who will be fielded, his side is still waiting for the results of the Sudirman Cup quarter-final draw.

“The condition of the team is very good. The faces are cheerful and enthusiastic. Everyone is healthy. This is the capital to face the quarter-final match Sudirman Cup which will be held on Friday,” said Eddy in a PBSI release.

“After the draw is out, we will have a meeting with the coaching team to determine who will defend the Indonesian team and play in the knockout stages tomorrow,” he said.

Eddy also ensured that the selected players were the strongest and best team that Indonesia had.

“We will field the strongest and best forces in the quarter-finals. Who will be the players later, just the most prepared and the best,” he asserted.
