And it is that while the women’s team reached the quarterfinal round, the men’s team agreed to the final and there, with a forceful action, the Maderistas achieved the championship, which confirms the growth that this sport has had in the institution .
Víctor Badillo, coach of the Madero University volleyball teams, commented on the successful passage of the White Tigers in the Municipal League.
“We had a good performance in the Puebla Municipal League with our UMAD university teams. In the case of the women’s team, we reached the quarterfinals and we were very close to being in the first four places, however, we had an interesting performance and we are growing more and more.
“In the case of the men’s team, we also grew because last season we were unable to advance to the last rounds of the tournament, but this time, in the Spring 2023 edition, we not only reached the finals, but we also reached the last game and won it and that led us to be champions of the Municipal League”, he added.

“We achieved a good performance in this school year; we had the chance to go to some events outside the city of Puebla. In February we went to play in Cuautla, Morelos, where we attended a regional event with teams from Morelos, the State of Mexico, Guerrero and Puebla. In that tournament with the men’s team we advanced to the finals and with the women’s team we achieved third place, ”he said.
“On the other hand, a few days ago we were at a national event in Actopan, Hidalgo and the truth is that we had the opportunity to participate with teams from all over the country and of a high level. The expectation is growing more and more and in August we completed a year working with the teams and that allows us to begin to see the fruits in this closing of the school year,” said Víctor Badillo.
