Subsidies to associations: all procedures will now be done via the Internet in Montluçon (Allier)

No more photocopies and bulky files to be created. From this start of the school year, the associations in the Montluçon basin (Allier) will all have to go digitally to apply for operating or exceptional subsidies.

A dedicated platform to put together files

The city of Montluçon and Montluçon community are launching, this Wednesday, September 1, a joint online procedure via a dedicated platform (https://aides-asso.montlucon.com/) through which associations must pass in order to receive financial aid from one or the other community.

However, for the time being, the procedure for requests for aid in kind (loan of premises or equipment) remains unchanged.

More than 3 million euros are allocated each year by the city and by Montluçon community to more than 500 associations identified on the territory of the agglomeration

“Simplify canvassing” and “standardize”

With the implementation of this new platform, the city and the agglomeration wish to “simplify the procedures of associations and ensure a more precise follow-up of requests” but also “standardize” these and better “control their use”.

This new system also meets a legal obligation concerning, among other things, the Cerfa documents that associations must provide.

Seventeen referents to support associations

“Of course, we are not going to let go of people like that, underlines Frédéric Laporte, the mayor of Montluçon and president of the agglomeration. For this first year, we have set up seventeen grant referents divided by field of activity to help them register and enter data online. “

The associations received a letter listing these referents at the end of last week.

We are aware that this is an important change. We are also aware that some associations, such as those asking for example 100 euros per year, may find this tedious. It is not our wish to dissuade them from applying for grants

The timetable for grant applications

Exceptional grants can still be submitted throughout the year and “will follow the same validation circuit as in previous years”.

As for the applications for operating grants, they must be submitted from September 1 to 30. Their instruction will take place between October 1 and December 31.

The response will then be sent to the associations, by post or email, during the first quarter of 2022.

The creation of an online directory of associations. The new platform is not only intended to become the portal for associations for their grant applications. The city and the agglomeration want to take advantage of the implementation of this new tool to also create a directory of associations accessible by all online. Associations will thus be able to update their organization chart in real time, as well as their contacts and share information with the general public. “The idea is to give them more visibility,” said the mayor.
