Subscriptions, registrations, prices… what are the terms and conditions for school transport in the Montluçon agglomeration (Allier) at the start of the school year?

Since last week, concern began to grow in some families who had just learned of the school subscriptions which will come into force in the territory of Montluçon community, at the start of the next school year.

Free not questioned

“School transport becomes chargeable for a minimum flat rate of 65 euros for a return trip to the place of schooling per day”, wrote an indignant mother to us, while this resident of Désertines had not paid anything until now. .

An unfounded fear, according to Frédéric Laporte. The president of Montluçon communautaire ensures that these new subscription terms will not generate any additional cost for families. “For children who benefited from free access – in particular those who currently use departmental or regional lines – it is the municipalities that will now reimburse the sum advanced by the families. Parents should check with their town hall. “Information that had obviously not made its way to all the families concerned.

The subscription remains however paying for the Montluçonnais. “But it will be less expensive since it goes from 144 euros per year to 65 euros (for the normal price, editor’s note)”, insists Frédéric Laporte.
