SK Sturm Graz is one of three teams that have participated in the championship group every year so far. In the 2018/2019 season, the Styrians only got nine points in ten championship group games.
Things went even worse in 2019/20, when they managed just one win from nine defeats. But under coach Christian Ilzer the trend is clearly upwards. In the previous season it was enough for five wins and two draws
And this season, the “Blackies” have already set a new, own championship group record with 19 points, and that with two laps to go. With this great record, the blacks are already set as runners-up.
Actually, Graz could approach the last games relatively relaxed. But Coach Ilzer and his men don’t want to give anything away. Austria Klagenfurt also had to experience this in their own stadium on Sunday.
