Dubai Municipality, during its participation in the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) as a strategic partner for the conference process, completed more than 1,000 inspection tours to ensure that various conditions and standards for health, food and environmental safety are met at the site of the largest climate conference in the world in the city of Expo Dubai.
Dubai Municipality teams carried out 80 inspection tours of general health and safety procedures for sites, pavilions and buildings within the COP28 site, and more than 1,000 inspection tours to ensure that food and beverage outlets on site adhere to health and safety conditions during the two weeks of the most prominent World Climate Summit, to ensure full compliance with sustainability standards and procedures. Environmental safety before, during and after the installation and dismantling of pavilions participating in the conference.
