Huge difficulties are reported by one of the popular retail chains, which also operates in the Czech Republic. It is primarily about financial problems, in which it appears to have been for more than a year. At the same time, everything leads to a not very positive end, which can also have an adverse effect on customers.
Financial troubles
What chain are we talking about? This is Studio Moderna, which you will probably know under its brands such as Dormeo, Delimano and Top Shop. All of these stores, whether brick-and-mortar or online, sell a slightly different assortment and have been very active in teleshopping. With a bit of exaggeration, we can say that these are common and slightly overpriced items, but they were quite popular among customers.
At first glance, one might expect that such a concept must work great, but it doesn’t. The entire company has Slovenian owners, while bankruptcy proceedings have been initiated with the company in its home country of Slovenia. Studio Moderna also tried something similar in the Czech Republic, but the court did not agree.
For a while, even the e-shops of individual brands did not work, so customers could not order goods. Now it seems that everything is fine and all online stores are now offering Black Friday sales. The truth is that some prices are attractive and it is possible that the company is trying to get financing in this way. On the other hand, it can be recommended that customers order cash on delivery and not with payment in advance, because in this case they never know whether the company will operate long enough.

The event failed
Studio Moderna recently attempted a kind of rescue operation in cooperation with Kaufland, where it offered its goods of various brands. At the same time, she invested a significant amount of money in advertising. However, the result did not come, on the contrary, it was a flop and now Kaufland still wants to pay pensions.
Suppliers also no longer supply Dormea or Deliman on invoice, as is common in the industry. They are also worried about not drawing a black Peter and ending up with unpaid supplies. At the same time, it is complicated for the company to pay for goods in advance.

How this will turn out is unclear. Currently, there is apparently an attempt to save business in at least some countries, but it is not clear whether the Czech Republic will be among them.
