Opening the door of the “Studio Battaglia” means realizing that a name can indicate a predisposition. To the battle, in fact. The heart of the story of the legal dramedy, which will animate 4 first evenings of Rai 1 starting from Tuesday 15 March, is made up of the Battaglia women: three divorce lawyers and a future bride.
A mother and three daughters, each with their own dreams and disturbances, united by a very deep love and an invincible irony that has always saved them, every time everything seemed to collapse, like when their father Giorgio was gone twenty-five years earlier. .
“Studio Battaglia” – written by Lisa Nur Sultan, Italian adaptation of the British series “The Split”, a Palomar production with Tempesta in collaboration with Rai Fiction – observes family dynamics and romantic relationships through the most disenchanted of points of view: the divorce lawyer firm. Indeed, lawyers, because there are many here and they are the best in Milan. Starting with Anna Battaglia, whom we meet when she leaves the prestigious Studio Battaglia – founded and managed by her mother Marina – in which her sister Nina also works. Anna has accepted a new position at Studio Zander, where she reunites with an old flirt from her university days, Massimo. At the time she preferred Alberto, that she married her, but it seems time to ask oneself if it was the right choice and if at some point in life it is better to have remorse or regrets.
In addition to this triangle, the heart of the story are the Battaglia women who are struggling with different phases of their life and, also, with the return of Giorgio, the husband and father who abandoned all of them to pursue a new love.
The story intertwines, with a contemporary language and aesthetic, a long horizontal case (the separation of the Parmegiani) with numerous episode cases with unprecedented implications regarding the most current aspects of family law: civil unions, confidentiality agreements, protection of image, same-parent families, embryo freezing, use of social media, defamation, digital inheritance, in short, the whole universe in constant expansion of relations with new media.
