Students caught the fugitive driver who killed the motorcyclist in Stara Zagora

Rado and Grigor study at the mechanical engineering school in the city, and Zhivko – at the construction technical school

The driver of the car that caused the accident in which a motorcyclist died on Sunday in Stara Zagora was caught by three students. The boys think they are not heroes, he said bTV.

The brutal accident happened on October 3 in the city center – at the intersection of General Stoletov Blvd. and Tsar Ivan Shishman St., around 7:40 p.m. Both the driver of the car, a British citizen, and the motorcyclist went to a red light. After the impact, the motorbike swept the people standing on the sidewalk, and a 16-year-old girl had a severe craniocerebral trauma and was in danger of death.

The driver of the car got out of it and ran away. However, three students follow him. Rado and Grigor study at the mechanical engineering school in the city, and Zhivko – at the construction technical school. One of the boys heard the crash and immediately called a friend who knew more people in the city to find out whose abandoned car it was.

It turned out that Rado knew the first owner of the car and through it they were able to track whose car it was now.

“We took the driver’s number, handed everything over to the traffic police as a signal, then we called him. He admitted everything on the phone and said he was hiding in a nearby park,” Rado said.

10-15 people went to look for him and after some time of persecution they managed to catch the perpetrator, waiting for the police together.

“The action of the boys is extremely dignified. I am glad that such young people are growing up in our city,” said Senior Commissioner Nikolay Kolev.

The boys say that everyone should react in the same way in such a situation.

Regarding the other serious accident, in which a car hit three girls at a roundabout in Stara Zagora, the students say that the big problem is in the minds of the drivers.
