Student (25) who left a black and blue Leuven police cell has been acquitted for rebellion: “Her arrest was not lawful” | Louvain

Two years ago, a case of alleged police brutality in Leuven caused political bickering at the highest level. Student MB was taken out of her room and then arrested for public intoxication. But the arrest was not allowed, the court ruled. The woman claimed to have a broken jaw, eye socket and nose from the police crackdown. How did it come to this then?
