Wow! That could be good news. CBS All Access has ordered a new series in the USA. The name? Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
The series will feature Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 fan favorites Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn as number one, and Ethan Peck as science officer Spock. Side note: Star Rek: I found Discovery extremely good – but there are other opinions of hardcore fans.
Back to Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. The series follows the trio in the decade before Captain Kirk aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise left while exploring new worlds around the galaxy.
“Fans fell in love with Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn and Ethan Peck’s portrayals of these iconic characters when they were first introduced in the last season of Star Trek: Discovery,” said Julie McNamara, executive vice president and program director at CBS All Access. “This new series will be a perfect addition to the franchise as it brings a whole new perspective and a number of adventures to Star Trek.”
