Storms reach various parts of North Texas – Telemundo Dallas (39)

TEXAS – Multiple areas of the Metroplex experienced heavy downpours and storms since early Monday.

The arrival of a low pressure area in the west of the country brought unstable conditions to our entire coverage area, including the Metroplex.

The storm development time was between 4 am and 6:30 am for the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.

Around 6:05 am the National Weather Service issued a severe storm advisory for Dallas, Kaufman and Rockwall counties which expired at 6:45 am, however it was canceled at 6:26 for the county Dallas

For Ellis, Hill and Navarro counties a severe storm advisory was also issued which remained in effect until 7 am Monday. For Henderson, Van Zandt and again Kaufman counties a notice was issued that was in effect until 8 a.m.



Among the possible impacts, we highlight the wind, hail and the potential for a tornado, which although it remains at a low level, the risk is present.

Throughout the night, favorable conditions were expected for the development of strong storms, thus giving way to stable conditions as of Monday morning, with values ​​that could reach the mid-60s to start the work week.



The low pressure zone, as it approaches, will leave unstable conditions for most of North Texas.



The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) maintains a SLIGHT risk of severe weather, a level 2 on a scale of 5.
