Storms Cause Chaos in Teruel: Firefighters and Police Called to Action

The firefighters of the Diputación de Teruel have had two warnings due to the storms that have unloaded this Monday afternoon in the city of Teruel, where more than 30 liters per square meter have been collected. One of the notices has been for draining water in a garage on Santa Amalia street and another to intervene in sewers that had jumped on San Francisco street.

Likewise, the Local Police have had to cut the Gypsy slope, a steep road that collects a lot of water, and the Villaspesa highway, in its urban section, because the manholes have jumped. After 8:00 p.m. they have been reopened after about an hour cut off from circulation. The passage under the train track that gives access to the Moratilla path has also been cut.
The firefighters reported at 8:00 p.m. this afternoon that there was no other incident detected.

A convective train, a multicellular system of storms aligned in a line of instability that has extended from Cuenca to the vicinity of Morella, has crossed the province of Teruel from southwest to northwest on Monday, unloading heavy rains in its path.
