A few days after the end of the Ciara storm that shook the whole country, the sun and calm returned. However, this will be short-lived, as a new storm has been announced by meteorologists. Ciara will give way to Dennis, a storm that promises to be less powerful, but which one should nevertheless be wary of. “It is still too early to announce a scheme with certainty, but it will blow on Sunday and Monday, says Pascal Mormal of the IRM. According to current data, a less severe storm is announced than last weekend, but still a wind between 80 and 90 km / h. Gusts at around 100 km / h are not to be excluded either.“
Unlike Ciara, Dennis shouldn’t hit Belgium head on, but rather get around it slightly. “The situation will be critical on the British Isles, Iceland and Norway, he says. We will be a little on the fringes of this storm, but it seems quite active and can change course fairly quickly.“
So there is reason to hope for less damage, especially since the episode Dennis promises to be shorter than Ciara. “We rather talk about Sunday evening and Monday. I would say that four days before the storm, the situation is less worrying than last week. But we cannot say that nothing will happen for all that!“
Again, the softness will favor the phenomenon, with almost 14 degrees announced this weekend. “We are well above the normal season, obviously.
