At the end of the day, the firefighters from the Hemeco area were called to intervene at the municipal swimming pool in Huy. Part of the roofing has come off. “We are in the process of stabilizing the roofing and covering,” said one of the firefighters. In the middle of the evening, part of the roof (30 m2) flew away … “It’s on top, comments the alderman of Works Eric Dosogne. The roof of the pool is not pointed, it is terminated by a platform like a roofing; that’s where the chimneys come in. “And the wind rushed in through a small gap below this platform and ripped it out. Water, which was stagnating there, rushed through the hole and fell lower. “The problem is the electrical circuit,” said the alderman.
Tomorrow Monday is the time for repairs. The swimming pool is announced closed until Wednesday.
