UAn armed man who planned to “kill Donald Trump” was arrested outside the White House in the US capital of Washington DC. Roger Hedgpeth, 25, was arrested for making threats against the president and carrying a banned weapon during Saturday afternoon.
The young man reportedly told an intelligence agent that he was there to “kill President Donald Trump,” according to a police report quoted by the Washington Post.
“I have a knife to do it”, it is also read in the document, as having been another of the things he said.
Metropolitan police found an 8.89 cm long knife in a hidden case next to his left hip and an empty gun holster in his right hip.
The agents placed Roger in police custody and then transported him to a hospital to undergo a psychological assessment. The vehicle he had used to drive to the scene was also towed.
