Reports of anti-Asian racism
Various discrimination agencies and hotlines see that the number of reports of racism against Asian Dutch people increased last year. However, reports are only the tip of the iceberg, most incidents go unreported.
In Amsterdam, 746 reports were made up to and including October 2020, compared to 595 in the whole of 2019. In Limburg the number of reports increased from 9 to 130. The number of reports increased in the Kennemerland region from 86 to 117, excluding reports of corona-related incidents.
