In recent days, however, the smog has lowered its guard, also due to weather conditions more suitable for dispersing polluting substances: the latest Arpa Lazio surveys on fine particles see in all the power stations of the capital data abundantly below the limit of 50 milligrams per cubic meter of Pm10: the highest level (22) was recorded in corso Francia, the lowest level (11) in largo Preneste.

The ecological Sunday, tomorrow, provides for the total ban on circulation for all motor vehicles in the “green belt” of the city and also concerns the regulation of heating systems. The traffic block will be in force in the time slots 7.30-12.30 and 16.30-20.30 and also affects the means provided with access and circulation permits in restricted traffic areas.

Electric and hybrid vehicles, LPG, natural gas and bi-fuel vehicles are excluded from the ban. Exemption also for petrol cars Euro 6 (instead diesel dies Euro 6), for 4-stroke motorcycles Euro 3 and later, for 2-stroke 4-wheel mopeds Euro 2 and later, for vehicles with disabled mark , for car sharing and car pooling vehicles.

The heating systems, whose daily functioning is allowed for a maximum of 12 hours, must also be managed in order to guarantee an air temperature in the rooms of no more than 17 or 18 degrees, depending on the type of building. Checks will be intensified throughout the municipal area to ascertain compliance with the regulations on the prohibition of outdoor combustion. The next appointments with ecological Sundays have been set for February 23 and March 29, subject to last minute changes.
