Stjørdal is looking for a source of infection – asks for help from the public

The case is being updated.

The infection tracking team of Stjørdal municipality has in the last 24 hours tried to find a source of infection, but has not reached the bottom of the case, according to the report.

Earlier Tuesday, the municipality stated that much indicated that the infection did not come from Trøndelag.

In the press release on Tuesday night, however, they write that they now have information that indicates that the source of infection may be in Trøndelag.

– May have been infected via public transport

The press release has been signed by municipal director Tor Jakob Reitan and municipal chief physician Leif Edvard Muruvik Vonen. They write:

– It is possible that the infected person has been infected by contact directly or indirectly via public transport. The person in question may have been infected in the period up to Friday 26 March, and may have been contagious from Saturday 27 March.

– We therefore have two encouragements that we urge you to think about. Be aware of symptoms if you have taken the train at the following times. If you – or a family member – get symptoms, you are asked to test yourself. In that case, you must be quarantined while waiting for a test result.
