In this sense, Melanio Paredes, member of the PLD Political Committee and Campaign Liaison Abroad, defined as successful the meeting that took place in the Dominican capital with important PLD leaders from the aforementioned cities.
As part of a series of meetings, PLD leaders in US cities also met with the party’s president, Danilo Medina; the general secretary, Charlie Mariotti; the head of the Secretariat for Dominicans Abroad, Alexis Lantigua, and Johnny Pujols, member of the Political Committee and coordinator of the External Sector with Abel.
The work day occurs a month before the leader of the opposition, Abel Martínez, visits the United States to hold meetings with the Dominican diaspora from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania.

The meeting with the PLD leaders from abroad occurred after Danilo Medina, Abel Martínez, Charlie Mariotti and Juan Ariel Jiménez received a courtesy visit from the directors of the National Council for Private Enterprise (Conep) at the PLD Presidential House.
In the cordial meeting, the leader of the opposition, Abel Martínez, thanked the interest shown by the directors of the most important business union in the Dominican Republic, in learning about the national project that he leads and the economic boost plans that he intends to implement in the country, from 2024.
