The last match day of the FLA2 regular season took place at the Ocelots sports field in Stinatz. The home team wanted to make it to the semi-finals. After two wins from three games, the southern Burgenlanders secured fourth place and are therefore entitled to the finals in Innsbruck.
Play-offs sealed with a clear 31:15 victory
The team from Stinatz opened the day against the Dark Angels from Vienna. This match was narrowly lost 40:35. After the defeat, Petar Vrbek and colleagues showed strong nerves and clearly defeated the Swarco Raiders from Tyrol 49:13. In the last game of the day, the Ocelots had to secure their semi-final participation against the Stonefield Raptors. The home team once again showed their skills against the bottom team in the league and ended the regular season with a clear 31:15 win.
This sealed the move to the play-offs. The Ocelots will play in Innsbruck on October 1st for promotion to the top Austrian league, the FLA1. The team will face the home team USI Avalanches, who ended the season as leaders, in the semifinals.
