still 149 cases confirmed by PCR test in Guadeloupe, one pat

The number of cumulative and confirmed cases by PCR test in Guadeloupe is still 149 cases. No new officially registered case, according to the latest assessment communicated by the Regional Health Agency. 12 people are hospitalized, including 9 in intensive care and 95 are declared cured.

According to the latest report published by the Regional Health Agency, there have been no new cases identified with us in the past 24 hours. The number of cases confirmed by PCR test (in cumulative data) in Guadeloupe is still 149.

Among these confirmed cases, 12 patients are hospitalized at the CHU of Guadeloupe. 9 are in intensive care. 3 are in medicine. There are no more patients at the Center hospitalier de Basse-Terre, nor at the Center Hospitalier de Marie-Galante.

Today, a patient hospitalized in intensive care at CHUG, whose condition required oxygenation by extracorporeal membrane (ECMO), was evacuated to the CHU of Martinique.

Since March 13, the number of deaths recorded is 10. 80 women and 69 men have been infected.

The virus circulates less in the city
The last epidemiological bulletin from Public Health France confirms a clear decrease in the circulation of the virus covid-19 in town, between weeks 15 and 16. The positivity rate of the samples, that is to say the number of positive samples on total withdrawals also halved. It went from 8.5% to 4.1%, i.e. 4 positive patients out of 100 patients sampled.

Until we have confirmation that the virus is at a very low level of circulation in the territory, any loosening of the containment can again contribute to the spread of the virus.

It is therefore essential not to encourage a restart of the epidemic. We will not be able to implement the deconfinement strategy if the circulation of the virus is restarted by a release
The expansion of PCR tests to people with little symptom via Prescription Drive Tests started on Wednesday. This will allow us to verify how the virus actually circulates in Guadeloupe.

This Friday, April 24, 2020, a total of 95 people are declared cured by infectious diseases.
