Sterrin Smalbrugge does not want to be compared with ‘unkind’ Freek Vonk

Sterrin tells in the candid interview that she is tired of being compared to her colleague Freek again and again. “Of course I’m more than the female version of, but I think there are too few women in this world anyway,” she tells her story.

She continues: “I understand the comparison very well, because that way you can actually summarize exactly what I do in one name, because the work does match, of course. But I’ve been doing it for a number of years now and I’m just my own person.”

What bothers her most is that she doesn’t have a good relationship with Freek at all. Sterrin even calls him “unkind” in the podcast. She explains: “Our personalities are just the opposite, so it’s not nice to constantly make that comparison (…) It doesn’t mean that if you have the same interests and do the same job, you have the same personality.”
